Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Bring Someone With me During My Appointment?

You are welcome to bring someone with you but please be aware of limited space at the studio so we cannot cater for multiple friends/family to sit with you.

How do you take payment?

Unfortunately we do not have a card machine at the studio so please bring enough cash with you for your tattoo.

How Should I Prepare for my Tattoo?

Try and be well rested, fed and well hydrated before your appointment as these things can all affect your pain tolerance. Bring some sugary drinks and sweets with you! It’s definitely best not to go out the night before and consume large amounts of alcohol as this will affect your tolerance to pain dramatically! Look after your skin leading up to the day, we can’t tattoo sun burnt skin or even sun damaged skin can effect the outcome of the tattoo.

Make yourself as relaxed as you can by wearing comfortable clothing. Be mindful of where you are getting the tattoo if you need to bring shorts or a loose top etc.

If you are getting a tattoo around the ribs/bra line area it is often best to wear a comfortable bikini top. We do also have privacy screen for your convenience.

Feel free to bring a book, headphones or a tablet if you feel if will help you to sit better.

How do I Look after my Tattoo Afterwards?

At the end of the sitting we will go through the aftercare procedure, we do supply aftercare products or alternatively we can help you find a different product.

Do you do coverups?

I rarely take on large coverups nowadays due to the need for light tones and detail needed to make the tattoo. However I can do them if they’re small and can be easily disguised/ hidden and don’t compromise the overall design of the tattoo.

How much are sleeves/how long do they take?

There is no set time to complete a sleeve as there are so many different variables to consider such as detail and size of the area to be tattooed. However on average most arm sleeves take around 6-7 full day sittings and leg sleeves around 7-8 full day sittings

Can you draw me a design first to see if I like it?

Unfortunately all the design work is done the morning of the appointment with the client. This saves a lot of wasted time and disappointment for both parties. During the consultation/message process, we usually discuss the main ideas for the tattoo, once we’re both happy, agreed on an appointment date with a paid deposit, I gather reference material ready for the client to look at and discuss on the day of the tattoo.

Have you got a cancellation list?

I no longer keep a cancellation list as such so the best thing to do is turn on the notifications for my social media pages, I tend to post any cancellations I get on there so keep your eyes peeled!

Can you Tattoo a portrait for me?

I love tattooing portraits! They’re very rewarding and can be fun tattoos to make but please be aware that I can only make the tattoo as good as the photograph lets me, so the better the photo reference, the better the tattoo. I usually look for high resolution, good lighting (not over or under exposed) decent shadows and contrast.

What are your prices?

I charge a full day rate. This is usually between 5-8hrs work. If you’d like to know more please contact me.
